Protecting Nursery Areas for the Scalloped Hammerhead Shark in the Colombian Pacific Coast

The aim of this project is to implement multiple approaches to protect a nursery area for the scalloped hammerhead shark and therefore contribute to the conservation of the species in the Eastern Tropical Pacific. The project will delimit the nursery area to reduce angler-shark interaction, promote better fishing practices in the area, and continue to extend the angler training program on resuscitation techniques and data collection. All data will be shared with National Authorities for better management.
