With nearly 30,000 species listed in Appendix II of CITES, Parties are obligated to ensure their trade is sustainable by developing non- detriment findings (NDFs). This project brings together experts in the NDF process at a workshop to assess and provide feedback on a newly developed software to streamline the NDF process for sharks and rays, making it intuitive and accessible to Parties and other stakeholders. Robust NDFs will promote population recovery while ensuring sustainable livelihoods.
